EG PATHWAY
At EGP, we believe that getting the Padel diet right is the key to enjoying the game to its fullest. Whether you only want to play for a bit of fun or play competitively, coaching is the key to progression. Once you have got the Intro and a level under your belt, we have a range of coaching programmes - The EGProgression Academy - designed to give you all the tools to keep moving in the right direction.
IMPROVER
The Improver Academy is a six-week course for players currently levelled between 1.75 and 2.25. Covering everything from the four Ps of Padel to the basics of the Glass and the Cage as well as the principles behind all the key shots, this is the place for you to start slipping up through the gears.
ADVANCED
Our Advanced Academy course caters for players who have more experience in Padel and are starting to understand the intricacies of shot selection, decision-making and strategy. Typically players at this level (2.75-3.25) will be playing routinely with the same partner and building a playing relationship with them that allows them to develop together.
INTERMEDIATE
The Intermediate Academy course, for players between 2.25 and 2.75 builds on all the blocks laid down at the Improver level. Covering patience, positioning and pace, you will start to learn some of the key parts of the game that will activate the beginnings of a Padel IQ and set you on the road to the higher levels of the game and more serious competition
PROGRESSION
Our Progression group is made up of players who are above a 3.25 and working towards the higher Box Leagues and the club teams. For this group, we provide regular Coached Matchplay sessions with our Performance Coaching team as well as opportunities to play matches against higher-ranked opposition.
BEGINNER
For players working towards the Progression Academy, we offer a four-week course which you can do either with a group of friends or join in with other new players. By the end of the four sessions you will be well on your way to using Open Matches and coaching to move up to the next band.
PURSUIT
The Pursuit Group is for players above a 3.75 who are targeting a place in Team EGP where we enter Men’s, Ladies’ and mixed teams into the iPadel Leagues. Regular Coached Matchplay sessions are on offer for this group and - based on feedback from the Coaching Team - players will be invited to join the Team training and Mix-in sessions to test themselves against the strongest players at the club.
