A tailored programme for players levelled 2.75 to 3.25
All of our Progression Academy courses consist of six consecutive weeks of coaching with the same coach and the same group of four players. You can either sign up as an individual, a pair, a trio or a full quartet.
If you sign up indvidually, you will be matched with other players who have the same availability as you. Any delay to your start date will be caused by the need for there to be four people available to start at the same time and day.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The six-week Progression Academy course is £85 for members and £100 for
non-members.
Your course will run for six consecutive weeks and you will be billed for the sessions, whether you can come or not.
Once you have booked in, all the sessions will appear in your Schedule in the EGP App and can be paid weekly.
HOW MUCH IS IT?
At EGP, we want you to be able to develop your game at a pace that suits you and to make friendships in the sport that will give you the same love for padel that we have.
EGPA is designed to give you the tools to take the level that you currently have and progress to the next band with your skills set solidly on strong foundations. We will help you to catch the bad habits, correct them and increase your understanding of the game in a fun and inclusive environment.
WHAT IS THE EGPA & PATHWAY?
COURSE DETAILS
MODULE 1: Making Time
It’s no accident that the best padel players seem to have all the time in the world. Experience on the court and familiarity with the geometry is what makes time. You have come this far and now we will show you how to double down.
MODULE 2: Three Shots Later
This is all about accountability. That look we give our partner when the ball is smashed past them? Park it. We probably put them in that position three shots ago. Understanding this and all it entails makes us better players.
MODULE 3: It’s Good To Talk
Communication is key. Keeping a flow of the right information to your partner during points will set us on the right road to win our matches. Strategy and planning between points is also a crucial factor in success. This part of the course looks at how we can use our voices to gain advantage.
MODULE 4: Changing Momentum
We are a set down and 4-0 behind in the second. How do we turn it around? Padel is all about moments and momentum. Changing the outcome is entirely in our power if we do the right things when the chips are down.
MODULE 5: Risk & Reward
We have all hit those shots and immediately regretted the choice. Understanding when risk is appropriate and when it will result in reward more often than not will help us to find the fine margins that make the difference.
MODULE 6: You’ve Earnt It
The final module in the EGPA is appropriately named. Not only have you completed the Progression Academy, you’ve got to the stage where you are understanding that this sport will punish you if you pick the wrong moment to try and play a winner. Unpick the winning paradox
